Nepal Himalayan Butter Churn Handle, Early 20th Century with Heart Shape

About the Item

An old carved wood Nepal, North India or other Himalayan culture butter churn handle called a ghurra. Created in the early 20th century. The handle with braided columns rising to a heart-shaped top. Remains of the old cord used to connect to the butter churn. With a thick polished patina and wear from extensive use. With a custom wood and metal base. Measures: 9 1/4 inches high, on base it is 11 inches high. Phallic form.
