1950s Azucena Mid-Century Modern Brass 12-Light Chandelier style Oscar Torlasco

About the Item

A distinguished example of Italian Mid-Century Modern lighting, this 12-light solid brass chandelier, circa 1958. Hand-cast by master artisans in Italy, the central drum is adorned with delicate fluting and detailed beading, from which twelve gracefully arched arms extend in a harmonious radial composition. Each arm terminates in a conical socket accented by a scalloped bobeche, marrying functional clarity with sculptural elegance. The original warm honey-gold patina, mellowed by decades of gentle oxidation, beautifully accentuates the volumetric curves and lends an undeniably authentic vintage character. This post-war design icon measures 100 cm in diameter and stands 95 cm tall, making an impressive statement in grand entryways, formal dining rooms, or gallery settings. Unrestored and in excellent working order, it retains its factory finish—proof of its storied Italian provenance and enduring appeal to collectors of luxury period lighting.
