About the Item
A distinguished example of Italian Mid-Century Modern lighting, this 12-light solid brass chandelier, circa 1958. Hand-cast by master artisans in Italy, the central drum is adorned with delicate fluting and detailed beading, from which twelve gracefully arched arms extend in a harmonious radial composition. Each arm terminates in a conical socket accented by a scalloped bobeche, marrying functional clarity with sculptural elegance.
The original warm honey-gold patina, mellowed by decades of gentle oxidation, beautifully accentuates the volumetric curves and lends an undeniably authentic vintage character. This post-war design icon measures 100 cm in diameter and stands 95 cm tall, making an impressive statement in grand entryways, formal dining rooms, or gallery settings.
