19th c. American Cut Crystal and Gilt Bronze 6 Light Gasolier/Chandelier

About the Item

This incredible American Gasolier is cut crystal with four graduated tiers of prisms encircling the central post and 6 lights with original frosted glass shades. Each shade is also wheel cut and each light is decorated with cut crystal bobeches and wondrous dangling prisms. The overall combination of gilt bronze, cut crystal and frosted shades creates a dazzling and dramatic effect. The bronze support has beautiful detailed leaves surrounding the ceiling cap. A true "show stopper", ready to grace a magnificent home. Made in 1850's and wired for electricity.
