- A small church opaline ceiling pendant, England circa 1930.
- Beautiful oval shape to the opaline glass which is held in place by a patinated brass gallery.
- Rewired in dark brown braided flex & PAT tested.
- Height 28cm, Width 22cm, Depth 22cm.
Opaline Glass Opaline is a form of decorative glassware which was made throughout the 19th century, manufacture was predominantly French, although it was inspired by Venetian Milk Glass, and White Glass produced in Bristol. The popularity of Opaline glass began during the reign of Napoleon and various locations across in England were involved in their production. The opaline glass is characterised by a bright white colour, crystal like, giving it jewel-like qualities across its appearance.
