About the Item
“Beacon of Light” is a design object and a functional sculpture. It gives light of hope to the lost traveller. A luminous sphere attached to a natural stone creates a delicate balance, a fulcrum in the world of confusion and uncertainty. Each stone is unique and unrepeatable. It is not a processed material, but a natural boulder created by nature. This object is both a lighthouse and an anchor. A hope of finding peace. Creation of serenity in form and content. Beacon of light presents a combination of floor light and a pendant.
A sandblasted glass sphere balanced by a minimalist custom-made steel pulley. The Beacon of light is a poetic functional sculpture, offering sense of peace like a light and anchor in the mist.
Jesse Visser is a graduate of the Utrecht School of Product Design and the Piet Zwart Institute. Jesse is an industrial designer creating furniture and light objects which were acknowledged with several international design awards.
