About the Item

Brutalist studio ceramic pendant lamp from denmark. a functional lamp and at the same time an impressive object. The formal language and materiality appear organic. The shade has the shape of a compressed ball and is open at the bottom. The light emerges primarily downwards. In addition, the lower area of the shade is provided with a circumferential perforation, which breaks up the homogeneous shape of the shade and throws a fine pattern of atmospheric light into the room. The surface of the ceramic is strongly structured on the outside. The holes in particular show a frayed edge. Inside the shade is glazed red. A color that emerges through the perforation and the lower opening. The canopy is designed analogously to the lamp. the lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. the wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise Additional information: Materials: Ceramic, Metal Color: Brown Style: Mid-Century Modern Period: 1960s Country of Origin: Denmark Item Type: Vintage, Antique or Pre-owned Dimensions: 11.42ʺW × 11.42ʺD × 7.87ʺL Styles Brutalist Country of Origin Denmark Item Type Vintage, Antique or Pre-owned Shop Sustainably with Chairish Calculate your shipping costsCalculate your shipping costs Read more detailsReturns & CancellationsReturns & Cancellations Condition: Unknown, Some Imperfections Condition Notes: Patina Consistent with Age and Use
