FINE, 19TH CENTURY, NEO-CLASSICAL, ORMOLU CHANDELIER, WITH 5 BRANCHES HEADED BY FEMALE MASKS, ELECTRIFIED, 31” high, 25” diameter
- Injects classical elegance, grandeur and atmosphere into the interior
- Particularly fine detail and working, the female masks and acanthus leaves curling away from the top of the branches and fine scrolling underneath terminating in grapes in particular and all the main surfaces being chased.
-The classical urn form, masks, acanthus leaf, gadrooning and Greek ornamentation is characteristic of the period.
- Retaining its original gilding.
- Blends into period interiors and juxtaposes with modern and contemporary schemes injecting neoclassical atmosphere
-The conversion is recent so it conforms to UK PAT Electrical standards.
