French 19th Century Louis XV Style Ormolu and Baccarat Crystal Chandelier

About the Item

A stunning and very unique French 19th century Louis XV st. ormolu and Baccarat crystal eighteen light chandelier. At the bottom is a solid crystal ball below a fine ormolu foliate finial. Branching out at the base are elegant ormolu movements with sprays adorned with beautiful clear and amethyst teardrop shaped crystals. The unusually shaped cage displays bottom and top row of striking square cut crystals and beautiful inverted floral candle cups with hanging light bulbs. Above are additional cut crystal pendants and the fine pierced foliate top crown centering additional internal light bulbs.
