French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu, Enameled Bronze And Crystal Chandelier

About the Item

A stunning and extremely decorative French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu, enameled bronze and crystal chandelier. The six arm seven light chandelier is centered by an elegant finely detailed bottom mottled foliate finial with a lovely wrap around floral band and striking spiral fluted designs. The cobalt blue enameled bronze body is encased with beautiful pierced spiral ormolu movements with superb foliate designs leading to impressive and most charming richly chased winged cherubs each holding a branch in each hand leading to finely detailed floral candle cups. At the center above the elegant lightly curved body is an exquisite crystal flame set atop of finely chased foliate designs in a rich satin and burnished finish and mottled reeded support. Three unique spiral supports adorned with the most charming blooming flowers lead upwards to tied bows above encasing the tapered enameled bronze top crown with a beautiful richly chased acorn finial and additional pierced scrolled foliate movements.
