French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated Bronze and Ormolu chandelier

About the Item

An elegant and most charming French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated Bronze and Ormolu chandelier. This uniquely designed six light chandelier is centered by a hanging tassel below a bundle of berried branches and instruments that serve as the arms. The lowest tier of three arms is composed of French horn trumpets accented with tassels wrapped around the bases. The tier about with the three remaining 'S' scrolled arms are decorated with berried laurel vines that lead up to the floral bobeche and foliate designed candle cup. The central fut is designed with wrapped around garments and accented with a patinated Bronze winged cherub angled downward with a joyous look on his face. The central fut is knotted to a thick Ormolu ring that is linked to the pierced foliate designed canopy. *Shades, Canopies and Chains shown for display purposes, sold separately.
