About the Item

A charming and most decorative French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and glass lantern. The hexagonal shaped lantern displays six fine bottom ball finials below an elegant mottled band. Each side retains their orignal glass panes above the lovely pierced wrap around baluster designed band. At the front is one door that opens using its original hardware to access the two central light bulbs. Above are six additional fine ball shaped finials and three elegantly curved supports leading to the mottled circular top cap.
