French Art Deco White Alabaster and Brass Pendant Light Fixture, circa 1920s
About the Item
An awesome Art Deco white color alabaster pendant ceiling light fixture. France, circa the 1920s.
This beautifully shaped and gracefully carved alabaster bowl with leaf carvings and a round finial is suspended by three ropes (wires) and an elegant, very decorative brass ceiling rose. Adorable pinecone-shaped bronze attachments.
The light shining through the white stone with slightly darker veins is atmospheric and it emanates a beautiful ambiance both when lit and unlit.
One new socket for E27 (E26) size light bulb.
Dimensions: height: circa 52 cm / 20.47 in; diameter: 36 cm / 14.17 in.
In good condition with slight typical signs of use and aging of alabaster.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
