Lampadario in Legno Dorato e Cristallo. Firenze, inizio XIX secolo

About the Item

Grande lampadario fiorentino a 16 luci distribuite su doppio ordine, risalente ai primi anni del XIX secolo. Sostenuto centralmente da un’asta in ferro rivestita da vetro soffiato trasparente in diverse lavorazioni e intervallato da elementi in legno intagliato a motivi fogliacei e dorato, due dei quali fungono da alloggi per i bracci in vetro. Decorato con cristalli pendenti a forma di goccia e a forma di prisma, questi ultimi disposti a cascata, mentre un pendente in vetro molato di maggiori dimensioni funge da terminale della sezione inferiore. Foglie in vetro soffiato si alternano ai bracci, completando l’apparato ornamentale. Sostituzioni e piccoli sbecchi. Elettrificato successivamente, nasceva in origine con lumi a candela.
