About the Item

An exceptional piece of mid-century Italian lighting history, this stunning pendant lamp was designed by the legendary Gino Sarfatti and manufactured by his pioneering company, Arteluce, in the 1950s. This particular model is distinguished by its exquisite collaboration with the master glassmakers of Archimede Seguso. The shade features thick, hand-blown Murano glass showcasing the celebrated bullicante technique, which creates concentric rows of beautiful, encased bubbles, lending a mesmerizing texture and soft, diffused light. This magnificent glass is suspended from a sleek, structural frame of enameled metal, a signature feature of Sarfatti’s rigorous, functionalist aesthetic. Recently rewired and taking a single candelabra bulb, this pendant is ready for modern installation. It embodies the innovative spirit that made Sarfatti one of the 20th century's most revered lighting designers, offering a sophisticated blend of modernist simplicity and luxurious Italian craftsmanship.
