Rare 'New Old Stock' Scandinavian Modern hanging pendant ceiling light / lamp designed by Hans-Agne Jakobssen for AB Markaryd of Sweden with original packaging. Extremely rare to find in this condition and in the full 'brass' 'gold' colored finish. Wonderful round circular lamp in tulip form with textured plastic diffuser. Illuminates beautifully - one of the finest light designs we have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Made in Sweden, in the latter part of the midcentury, circa 1960s.
Requires a single E27 Lightbulb, 75Watt Max.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
