Hans Bergström, Ateljé Lyktan, modernist chandelier model 115, Sweden, 1940s

About the Item

A beautiful chandelier, model 115, designed by renowned Swedish lighting architect Hans Bergström and produced by Ateljé Lyktan in the 1940s. Crafted from a stained wooden frame supporting five curved brass arms, it features a decorative crown-shaped ornament at the top. Complete with the original ceiling canopy and chain. Five textile lamp shades are included. The manufacturer Ateljé Lyktan was founded in 1934 by Hans and Verna Bergström in the Swedish town of Helsingborg. Demand for their products quickly outgrew the small workshop, prompting a move to the town of Åhus. Over the following decades, Hans Bergström designed a wide range of high-quality lighting fixtures. Since they were produced in relatively small quantities, these pieces are now highly sought after by collectors.
