Italian 19th Century Mecca and Hand Painted Chandelier

About the Item

A charming Italian early 19th century mecca and hand painted green and red pressed metal chandelier. The six light chandelier has an unusual triangular shaped fut with an acanthus leaves finial. The fut is centered by six 'S' scrolled metal arms in form of acanthus leaves amidst beautiful roses intertwining from each arm ending in leaf shaped metal bobeches. The elongated central column, with bottom finial, is richly carved with an acanthus leaf metal top crown below the metal scrolled canapé. All original paint and wonderful proportions.
