About the Item

A wonderfully decorative and whimsical Italian 19th century Ormolu, Crystal and Gilt Crystal chandelier. The six arm chandelier has a central gilt dome bottom with a hanging cut crystal ball. Above are six scrolled Ormolu arms which are decorated on both sides with rosette Crystals leading to the clear Crystal and Gilt Crystal saucers. Each of the arms have large cut and etched Crystal prisms of various shapes. The clear Crystal saucers are richly decorated by beautiful elongated cut crystals below the candles. The bottom interior has a central reserve of a Crystal ball and top Crystal dagger. Surrounding the dagger and flanking the six arms are three scrolled Ormolu supports which are decorated in the same manner as the six arms. These three supports lead to a top scrolled spray with unique hanging water drop like Crystals with air bubbles inside. The scrolls also surround a large crystal central fut all below the original top Ormolu dome. *Shades shown for display purposes, sold separately.
