About the Item

This magnificent and remarkable circular pendant light is expertly hand-carved from a single solid block of cognac, honey colored alabaster, a natural stone formed by Mother Nature over millions of years. The alabaster stone is bell or conical shaped and depicts a flowering morning glory and it was carefully selected for its firey coloring, dramatic veins and unique striations—features that evoke lightning and embers —all embodying the artistry found in nature itself. The surface is polished with a nice gleam and highlights distinct Art Deco fluting, and is finished with a pointed finial. Thick and beautifully crafted, the shade is suspended by a rope twist polished nickel tripodal armature and ends with a complementary fluted canopy, making it exceptionally stylish . The sheer quality of the alabaster with mottled natural mineral deposits and flecks spread throughout in hues of golden orange, yellows, sienna, and amber and the natural beauty bestowed by Mother Nature, combined with extraordinary craftsmanship, make this piece a true testament to both artisan and earth. Versatile and can be used in any interior, Modernist, Minimalism, Scandinavian Modern, English country house, Biedermeier, Neoclassical, Arts & Crafts, Bauhaus, Rustic, Mediterranean, African, Mid century Modern, Italian design, caramel, golden, tortoiseshell fixture, light, fixture, lamp, natural stone, organic, glow, zen, mood
