About the Item
This exceptional, large chandelier is made of brass and alabaster. This masterful piece is special; its brass body reflects light from the bulbs into the room. The arms of the chandelier are modeled after a cornucopia and are cast in high-quality brass and polished by hand. An alabaster shade completes the chandelier, softly diffusing light into the room. This chandelier was brought from France to Germany by a family who emigrated in the 1960s. Over the decades, the lamp has been damaged, and two of the shades had to be glued a few years ago. Now, the chandelier has been rewired, the brass has been hand-polished, and the alabaster shades have been refinished, allowing the magnificent chandelier to shine in its former glory. The arms of the chandelier are disassembled for shipping but can easily be screwed back on.
