About the Item
This sophisticated and graphic Mid-Century Modern chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Murano renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- circa 1970. It features three stacked layers of handblown Murano translucent tronchi crystals (one of the most iconic glass crystals in Italian lighting history) affixed to a chrome frame. The chandelier body affixes to the ceiling via chain to a convex circular canopy- all in lustrous chrome. Full of verve and elan, this piece exudes the qualities that discerning collectors of Italian Mid Century Modern design absolutely adore. With its monochromatic palate and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in exellent vintage condition. The height can be adjusted to suit.
