Modern Aluminum Wire Sphere Sculpture Chandelier Lighting
About the Item
This amazing chandelier is a work of art and is based off of an Italian iconic chandelier that retailed for over $12,000. It was purchased in 2011 by a Los Angeles interior designer who is working on a multimillion dollar Estate in the Madison club in La Quinta, California where the Kardashians live. We are not sure if it was custom ordered, but the wholesale price was over $3400. Marked made in China it is a miraculously made with so much work and detail on it.. The body of the chandelier that is covered in hundreds of feet of aluminum wire that have all been bent in a zigzag pattern that covers the sphere completely. There is a round hole opening on the top to change the bulbs if needed. We have tested the chandelier and replaced with all new low wattage bulbs, it works perfectly. Everything is included, including a very interesting nickel finish canopy (original). This piece will definitely need a professional electrician to hang it. We are not sure how the three chords and one thin metal wire are balanced on the canopy, but certainly the electrician will know how to hang it. We also did not mention that it is never been used or hung, it has been sitting in the designers office in West Hollywood California since 2011.
It is hard to show the impressive size in photos, but the diameter or circumference is approximately 75 inches round . The height of the sphere alone is 22 inches tall. It can be very low to the ceiling as it obtains the uncut three cords that attached to the canopy and certainly can be shortened if needed.
