About the Item

ONIRIC COLLECTION is inspired by the surreal nature of dreams. Crafted from black quartz sand and resin, this collection embodies the delicate interplay between light and dark, transparency and opacity. Grounding the piece in mystery, the black sand evokes the depth of night, while the whimsical transparent sculptures allow soft, ambient light to radiate through the dark, while completing the surreal narrative. Its organic textures and contrasting materials create an outwardly visual experience, reminiscent of exotic realm meeting dream. The fantastic transparent sculptures represent different cultural fragments present in our 21st century society like memes, internet, games, public life and some other completely whimsical creatures emerging from dream and imagination. BUILD PROCESS Oniric Lamp is a captivating functional sculpture that merge both technology and craftsmanship. Initially, the artist has 3d scanned a large rock found in a creek nearby, creating a digital blueprint that served as the digital foundation for the lamp. Using advanced 3D software, the digital model was modified and refined to suite his peculiar transparent counterparts, previously manually sculpted and cast in transparent resin. Using a specialized quartz-based sand material that retained the details of the original rock, the digital blueprint used in conjunction with a cutting-edge 3d printing technology to print the digital model to life, the artist manually sculpted and refined the sand structure, adding human touch to the state-of-the art technological precision. SPECIFICATIONS MATERIALS: Black quartz sand + resin + light DIMENSIONS: H 55cm / W 26 cm CABLE: cord length 3.5m L Lightbulb: Smart bulb by Philips Hue, white & RGB, manual switch + app controlled, dimmable. *NOTE: because each piece is unique & made by hand, final dimensions may vary slightly.
