"Marble Lamp" is a strange title, I know!
But I dreamed for a long time a lamp of this kind,
I dreamed a piece of marble,
suspended like a sculpture,
that could secretly illuminate my studio,
and my thoughts.
Hiding such a powerful light inside wasn't easy: the challenges were represented by the small thickness of the object and the light emission that, according to my vision, had to be released both upwards and downwards.
The effort has been worthwhile and the result is poetic: marble has never seemed so light!
The Werner Sr. suspension lamp does not invade the environment but furnishes it with class, thanks also to an enveloping and discreet light that guarantees a high visual comfort.
Portoro marble as well known as Portovenere marble, is a fine variety of italian marble carved near the beautiful Golfo dei Poeti, a gulf situated in the Ligurian province of La Spezia. It is one of the most beautiful among polychrome marbles, a very precious Italian stone of an intense and brilliant black color with golden veins ranging from intense yellow to honey color. The peculiarity of its appearance makes it a unique marble, irreplaceable as an ornamental material.
