About the Item
Rare 5-light chandelier designed by Jan Wickelgren for Aneta Sweden circa 1970.
Composed of a solid pine body and shiny white opalines resting on gilded brass rims, gives off a nice warm light ideal for interiors rich in wooden elements. Signed on label.
In good condition, opalines without defects, slight traces of oxidation on the metal, slight traces of use on the pinewood, works without any issues.
"Jan is educated at HDK in Gothenburg as an architect and industrial designer in the year of 1971. Since then he has his own architectural buisness called Wickelgren Architect & Design AB. Most of all he has worked with furniture companies in the public sector such as Overman, Albin i Hyssna, Scapa Contract and ISKU Lekolar. Jan is also working with outdoor environment."
