A large spherical lantern made of fine capiz shell tiles held in a copper foil and leadwork frame suspended from brushed chrome fittings. From a Pacific Palisades home remodeled by Los Angeles architect Raymond Kappe whose drawing archive was recently donated to the Getty Museum.
