About the Item

Tito Agnoli Model 4461B 'Decentrata' Pendant for O-Luce, Italy, 1961. Rare and desirable 'decentrata' pendant by Tito Agnoli for O-luce, designed in 1961. This is an early example, direct from the first owner. Beautiful and mesmerizing design with a large shade sculpted in perspex, a very avant garde and modern material at the time. This lamp has the 'decentrata' hanging system, which gives you a lot of possibilities to hang this pendant just the way you like it in terms of placement and height. Wonderful above a dining table, but would also be very interesting to hang in a corner next to a sofa (as it has been hanging all its life). A rare and wonderful mid-century pendant gem! Comes in a very good and original condition. Literature: Rivista Dell'Arredamento; Görlich, October 1965/130 O-LUCE di Giuseppe Ostuni; vol. I/II; Bräuniger; Lumi Press

Poul Henningsen 'PH 4½-4' Glass Pendant for Louis Poulsen
By Poul Henningsen
Located in Tilburg, NL
Poul Henningsen 'PH 4½-4' glass pendant for Louis Poulsen. Poul Henningsen designed the three-shade system back in 1925-1926. The first lights using the system were designed by PH in cooperation with Louis Poulsen for an exhibition in Paris. This partnership continued up until his death in 1967. Throughout his life, PH sought to create glare-free light, direct light where it was most needed, and create soft shadows, using incandescent bulbs as a light source. The PH 4½-4 Glass Pendant is a member of the three-shade family which numbers 30 lights today, including three for outdoor use. Thus PH did not just design a light, but an entire system – around a thousand different models have been produced over the years. This wide selection consisted of table, floor and wall lamps, as well as a number of different chandeliers...

Louis Poulsen 'Doo-Wop' pendant, Denmark. Designed in the 1950s, new production. Originally introduced in the 1950s. Was designed in close cooperation between the Navy Buildings Department and Louis Poulsen. The pendant was used for many years in the buildngs of the Navy for many different applications such as canteens and offices. The Navy Pendant, which was the name at that time, was widely used because of the unique lighting properties and utility. Not until the early 1980s the product was taken out of the Louis Poulsen catalogues. The design appears timeless but has a strong connection to the New...

Poul Henningsen PH5 Mini Pendant in Brass for Louis Poulsen
By Poul Henningsen, Louis Poulsen
Located in Tilburg, NL
Poul Henningsen PH5 mini pendant for Louis Poulsen. Designed 1958, Mini in 2017. New, current production. Poul Henningsen developed the PH 5 in 1958 in response to constant changes made to the shape and size of incandescent bulbs by bulb manufacturers, naming it after the size of the pendant’s main shade, which is 50 cm in diameter. When the lamp was introduced, he wrote, typically daringly, about how he had lost faith that the manufacturers of incandescent light bulbs would ever learn to consider common sense or have the consumer’s best interest at heart: “I have accepted fate, and with Louis Poulsen's permission I have designed a PH fixture, which can be used with any kind of light source, Christmas lights and 100 W metal filament bulbs. Although a fluorescent tube would be too much to ask in the existing form!” At the time, now one knew that the PH 5 would become synonymous with the PH light...
