About the Item
This is a vintage Murano glass chandelier crafted in the style of the Ca’ Rezzonico chandeliers, first created by Giuseppe Briati in the 18th century and named for the Venetian palace that houses his masterpiece.
This handcrafted, gold‑infused cristallo chandelier features five scroll arms, each holding bobeches with petal‑shaped trim and a bulbous center column. It alternates two flower forms—cupped bellflowers and six‑lobed rosettes—and two leaf profiles: narrow serrated fronds and broader ribbed acanthus leaves. The glass houses on the island of Murano are famous for highly ornamented chandeliers made of pincered and molded blown glass; here, scroll stems, twirling leaf ends, and rigaree trim exhibit a masterful flair in glass craftsmanship.
Made entirely of clear, colorless glass enhanced with subtle 24‑carat glints of gold dispersed throughout to mimic the look of sunbeams when lit, the translucent crystalline glass otherwise blends with any color palette.
Delicate in its Baroque styling, it becomes a shimmering floral centerpiece. The golden cristallo enchants with the illusion of sunlight, elevating any interior with a touch of natural beauty.

- Condition:Rewired: Rewired to US electrical standards, uses 6 candelabra-size bulbs. It does not include e a canopy and a chain. Three feet of wire at the top can be adjusted to the preferred height. Glassblown and molded by hand, no part is identical. Wear consistent with age and use. No chips or cracks in the glass. It has two different types of flowers and downturned leaves. Please see all the images, especially the close-ups. Parts are shipped disassembled. Dimensions without ceiling cover and chain: H=24 in.
