Vintage Old World 17-light statement French Provincial Wrought Iron Chandelier Anonymous Provence, France; ca. 1900 Wrought Iron Approximate size: 68.5 (length) x 28.5 (depth) x 14.5 (tall, sans support chains) in.; chain length is 28.5 in. A spectacular French Provincial wrought iron chandelier that is certain to make a statement in a kitchen or living space. The chandelier boasts 17 lights distributed across a main spanner and two cross-bars. Below the spans are an intricately worked series of openwork scalloped rings presenting a beautiful and rustic elegance. The handmade hammered-and-peened texture along the spans offers a lovely subtlety in all lighting conditions. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the chandelier may also be used as a pot rack or island light. Recent wiring (for hard-wiring). Condition: very good condition and commensurate with age. Very minor rusting near joins. Recently re-wired and in good, stable, working condition.
