About the Item
Space Age Mid Century Murano Glass floor lamp attributed to Carlo Nason for Stilux.
This tall (53 in / 135 cm) floor lamp is constructed on 3 vertical chrome tubes affixed to a flat, round chrome disc floor plate. The 3 vertical tubes support a circular chrome arrangement, which in turn, houses 3 light bulbs and a spheroidal Murano glass lamp shade. The shade or "orb", clearly hand made, is comprised of transparent Murano glass with an evocative smoke or petrol wash tint. The large glass orb has a diameter of ~16 in / 40 cm.
The lamp has been photographed with a selection of two bulbs, including oversized round chrome smoked bulbs and regular sized round frosted bulbs.
The condition of the lamp is very good considering age and use. No cracks or structural issues. Feint patina, for example from years of wiping clean, are present.
