About the Item
We present you this large floor lamp in the shape of a palm tree in Murano Glass. This lamp's pieces are entirely detachable and capable of holding up to four bulbs with our recent modifications. The electrical parts have recently been modernised to comply with current electrical norms. We are confident that this exquisite piece would add a stylishly exotic flair to any interior.
Murano Glass is renowned worldwide for its exquisite beauty and craftsmanship. It is a type of glass that is made on the Venetian island of Murano, located in the Venetian Lagoon, just off the coast of Venice, Italy. Its dates back to the late 13th century. Glassmaking on the island began as a response to a Venetian law that required all glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano to prevent the risk of fire in Venice. Over the centuries, Murano glassmakers developed unique techniques and styles, including Millefiori (a thousand flowers), filigree, and latticino. They are known for their exquisite glass sculptures, chandeliers, and decorative glassware. Murano glass is highly collectable and sought after by art enthusiasts and collectors. Antique and vintage Murano pieces, as well as contemporary works, are highly regarded.
