Impressive floor lamp crafted entirely in gilt-painted ceramic, depicting a nude Maenad in a dynamic contrapposto pose, gracefully raising two grape-shaped glass light fixtures. The translucent glass clusters mimic bunches of grapes, with warm amber tones. The figure stands atop an elaborately sculpted pedestal, richly adorned with mythical creature heads, vegetal motifs, and volutes, contributing to the piece’s theatrical presence.
This highly decorative lamp was produced by the owner of the Argentine firm Oltolini, which was active in Santa Fe province during the mid-20th century and is known for its production of ceramic vessels and decorative objects. A bold and unique statement piece blending classical mythology with exuberant craftsmanship.
