The Biomorphic series of organic light sculptures are one-of-a-kind and hand moulded from a composite paper clay and delicate, mineral gypsum plaster. The result is a high-quality compressed limestone finish carefully burnished to a smooth-to-the-touch, matte surface. Lightly water resistant, for indoor use only.

Description:
Floor lamp. On/off foot switch, 10' clear cord. Matte with a silky-to-the-touch sheen, limestone finishes in multiple colors. Candelabra or medium ceramic socket, LED dimmable 40W bulb in soft white (included). Surrealist-inspired, warping plaster base and shade.
Care instructions: Studio Chora's lime plaster products are compressed and burnished to a natural white finish. A wax may be applied to clean the surface and pull out natural color variation in the plaster.
About the designer:
E. Silva, M. Arch., of Studio Chora is a designer based in New Mexico. Trained as an architect, her work focuses on post-Deleuzian philosophy as a critical tool for articulating gender. She handcrafts one-of-a-kind sculptures, drawings, technical and artistic visuals, pneumatic dinner parties, and augmented reality experiences.

Studio Chora
Studio Chora is a woman-owned design studio located in the desert of New Mexico. Producing hand-sculpted and one-of-a-kind designs from renewable and recycled materials, the product lines are sold in sustainably-focused shops and galleries throughout California, in Brooklyn, New York, and from our studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. About the designer: E. Silva, M. Arch., of Studio Chora is a designer based in New Mexico. Trained as an architect, she has early career projects in Manhattan, including exterior lighting design for One Wall Street. Her designs for Studio Chora focus on post-Deleuzian philosophy as a critical tool for articulating gender. She handcrafts one-of-a-kind sculptures, drawings, technical and artistic visuals, pneumatic dinner parties, and augmented reality experiences.
