About the Item
"Chicago Tribune" floorlamp by Matteo Thun for Bieffeplast 1981
This is the biggest and most impressive lamp from the "Stillight" series stylizing the building of the Chicago tribune newspaper.
It boasts three neon light sources casting a beautiful atmospheric light through the perforated enameled metal shaft.
This lamp embodies all the irreverent principles of this new way of design as the use of simple geometric shapes, disregard for function and the typical ludic appearance.

Classic Italian Design Luminator Floor Lamp by Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte
By Pietro Chiesa
Located in Renens, CH
Please note that the price is for 1 lamp.
Floor lamp designed by Pietro Chiesa in 1933 and produced by Fontana Arte. The Luminator was for its time a groundbreaking design, and considered to be the first indirect light floor lamp in design history.
The lamp is completely built up in metal, consisting of a stem that widens into a cone. The color can be best described as a very light grey, with a hint of blue. The finish is not smooth, but has a relief to it.
Light source: E14 Screw-in halogen or incandescent bulb. Can be used on the US electric grid after a plug change (we can do this for you!).
Origination: Italy, 1980s. Most lamps carry the Fontana Arte label...
