About the Item

This exceptionally heavy and sturdy lamp was considered advanced technology in the 1940s. The lens is particularly interesting as it both concentrates and diffuses the light emitted through a pattern of alternating clear oculi set against a frosted background. The pale green paint is characteristic of the period and original.
