Italian 1970s Large "Candlestick" Style Floor Lamp
About the Item
A chic Italian 1970s chrome floor lamp with custom shade. Made in the style of a turned wood candlestick but in chrome. New custom made heavy duty matching shade in heavy synthetic Mylar. Measures: The base of the floor lamp is 12 inches in diameter and stands 63 inches high. Shade is 20.5 inches in diameter and 17.75 inches high. As shown, the total height of the lamp is 63 inches.

This adjustable desk lamp was designed by D. C. Arnoldi for Italian lighting company Luci illuminaznione d'interni, circa 1970. The company was founded in 1966 and quickly became known for their original and innovative designs of modern lighting. Luci has an impressive list of Italian designs who have worked for the company. In 1989, the company renamed itself LuciItalia and continued its identity as a producer of high quality and decorative modern design lighting. Here we have an example of an earlier Luci piece form the 1970s. It features an exterior chocolate brown enamel shade and screw on table mount. The interior of the shade is off white enamel and has a chrome socket cover over the standard socket.
