About the Item

The Lampione Floor Lamp, designed by Fabio Lenci for iGuzzini in 1968, exemplifies post-war innovation with its organic design and pioneering use of materials. This black version of the Lampione, features a sleek stem made from Baydur polyurethane foam, a durable, weather-resistant material ideal for the outdoors. Its acrylic lampshade contrasts with the soft, natural form of the base, reflecting the bold use of colours and playful materials typical for the Pop Art era. Lenci’s expertise in foam technology and his avant-garde experimentation make this lamp a standout example of 1960s post-war design, blending industrial and organic elements. Note that the foot switch is a design classic on its own by Achille Castiglioni. The top part of the lamp swivels and can separated from the base for transport. Manufacturer: iGuzzini - no longer in production. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The finish has some minor scuffs and scratches. The lamps were completely cleaned and given a mechanical polish to bring back the original gloss. They are in great condition, and can be used on a daily basis. Note on one lamp a small damage to the diffusor, not visible when installed. Origination: Italy, 1970s – labelled by manufacturer Materials: Synthetic materials Approximate Dimensions: Height: 210 cm Length: 120 cm Depth: 37 cm Suitable for EU and US power grid. Each lamp requires a E27 / E26 screw-in bulb. Sold only as a pair, price for the pair.

"Aggregato terra", floor lamp by E. Mari & G. Fassina, Artemide Italy 1970ca, very rare version with red acrylic shade. Aggregato is the result of Enzo Mari’s thoughts on the logics of industrial production: a handful of basic elements make it possible to put together multiple solutions of light. It is a systemic and strictly understated thought, to illuminate all spaces. The lamp's innovative design incorporates adjustable elements, allowing users to customize the direction and intensity of light to suit their needs. With its enduring appeal and impeccable craftsmanship, the Aggregato lamp...
