Mid-Century 1950 Vintage Franco Legler Movalux Floor Lamp

About the Item

Franco Legler was a Swiss designer known for his work in furniture design, particularly his wicker and rattan chairs. Legler had a background in architecture and industrial design, which influenced his approach to furniture. His designs were often lightweight, durable, and aesthetically simple, aligning with the principles of modernist design. The Movalux Floor Lamp was designed by Franco Giovanni Legler for Arredoluce. Legler specialised in industrial design and sought to produce clean-lined silhouettes with technical innovations. He worked with metal to create the light-painted structure and designed all the breaks to be freely movable. Literature: R. Aloi, "Illuminazione d'oggi", Milan 1956, p.212 A. Pansera, A.
