Mid-Century German Floor Lamp by Ernest Igl for Hillebrand Lighting, 1960s

About the Item

Very rare mid century standing lamp with striking hole details from hillebrand after a design by ernest igl from the 1960s. A draft that convinces with its high-quality workmanship and the elaborate details. The characteristic coloring in brass and blue is striking, which alternately pull through the design and form a harmonious contrast. The umbrella shows a simple cylinder shape and sits at the end of a long shaft. Below the shaft goes into a plate foot. There is a elaborately manufactured stylus element in the middle. A special detail can be found in the transition to the umbrella. A cylindrical basket that includes an e14 version. The cylinder is provided with the perforation characteristic of ernest hedgehog. The irregular holes appear when switched on as light dots below the screen. The basket is provided with a foldable lid. The two burners can be switched separately. The upper light over a train switch, the lower one over a pressure switch below the basket.
