A timeless pair of Mid-Century Modern floor lamps n the style of George Kovacs. The stylish floor lamps are finely made of chrome and Carrara marble. The MCM floor amps are distinguished by the proportioned adjustable spot-head that casts a gentle luminosity in a user-selected direction. Providing a steadfast foundation is a block of Carrara marble, distinguished by its intricate veins that harmonize seamlessly with the polished chrome steel finish. Connecting these elements is a petite yet robust chromed steel rod. Despite its slender profile, the lamp stands resilient and cohesive.

About George Kovacs:
George Kovacs ( American , 1927 - 2007) was a designer, manufacturer and importer of innovative and stylish modern lighting fixtures. He introduced the ubiquitous halogen torchiere to the United States.
Mr. Kovacs not only made popular table lamps, floor lamps, hanging pendants and wall sconces, he also marketed the products of other acclaimed designers, including Ingo Maurer, Harry Allen, Karim Rashid, Robert Sonneman and Alecia Wesner. Source : New York Times
