Miguel Milá TMMC Floor Lamp Tramo, Spain, 1950
About the Item
Rare floor TMC floor lamp designed by Miguel Milá and manufactured by Tramo, Spain 1950. This floor lamp is from the first production and has a very minimalistic appearance. The unusual shaped base is made of black painted metal, it has an aesthetically interesting shape but also provides a solid and stable base for this lamp. The black bas part splits into a chrome part which has holes in it where the shade can be fixed in. Making this lamp adjustable is a very interesting and convenient feature as this lamp can be used for several uses. And also, another position makes it for me a totally different lamp from the looks. The adjusting system is truly ingenious, so simple but it works amazing, you can pull the handle at the back of the shade out, adjust it in the position you want, and fix it back. Easy as that. The lamp has its original on/off pull cord and the rubber protection feet are also still there. A very nice collectors’ item which can be as inconspicuous as you want in your modern home or interior. The lamp uses an E27 bulb up to 100 watt.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Feel free to inquire for options.
