Monumental Operating Room Light, 1960s Turkey
About the Item
Stunning 1960s Turkish operating room light. Massive ambient light fixture that rotates 360 degrees and is supported by a sturdy steel tube tripod base. Over 8 feet tall. Base is on casters for easy moving and is encased in a matching metal body. Massive circular head spanning 4 feet across illuminates from 7 circular ports each covered by a pebbled milky turquoise glass which offers an even and soft display of light. A small hand switch on the cord turns fixture on and off. Coated in original cream paint with a perfect light patina. Good vintage condition. Great sculptural light and a fun piece of history.
