Pair of Modernist Torchieres in Amber Handblown Murano Glass w/ 24kt Gold Bands
About the Item
This stunning pair of monumental torchieres were designed by High Style Deco and hand blown in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for its superlative glass production. The torchieres feature concave subtly domed bases; alternating ovoid and spherical reeded amber glass embellishments separated by translucent gold bands with 24 kt yellow gold flecks; and urn form shades also in amber glass in a translucent gold hue. With their traditionally inspired form and bold monumental scale (standing at over six feet tall) these torchieres promise to add a dramatic presence to any interior from traditional to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition.
