Rare & Stunning Mid Century Modern Lucite and Brass Pedestal Floor Lamp / Light
About the Item
Rare and completely original set creating a Hollywood Regency floor lamp.
This exceptionally beautiful and what we believe to be a very rare set of a midcentury pedestal with a matching, harp design table lamp in the Hollywood Regency style is another one of our recent great finds. The straight lined design of the transparent lucite pedestal with its classical cannelures combined with the flowing lines of its brass top is the perfect base for the unique table lamp atop. Its unique design combined with the 'extravagant' materials make this floor-lamp-set stand out from anything you will have ever seen. The thick lucite table lamp on top with its harp design too has both a classic and an extravagant Hollywood Regency look and feel that will never fail to impress. Creating this marvelous pedestal with lamp on paper must have been the work of one of the more famous designers, but we have at least as much respect for the maker who took on the job of actually manufacturing both pieces, because the materials, in our view, must have made it a true challenge. Getting the stylish lucite in the right shape when hardened and then perfectly connecting those pieces with the seperately hand-crafted brass and metal parts must have been extremely time consuming. This, most likely Italian-made, floor lamp from the 1970s is in very good condition and very much ready to be used and enjoyed. This work of beauty will arrive wired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the country where it will be used and enjoyed.
