Unique Mid-Century Modern Pop Art Metal Tubular Pillar Floor or Accent Lamp

About the Item

This Mid-Century Modern or Pop Art styled floor lamp is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Canada, and dating to approximately 1970 and done in the period "Mod" style. The lamp is believed to be an artisan made unique light and composed of an angular cut metal tube, with a welded top and metamorphic cut out in the front. The outside of the tamp is painted black, and the entire inside in a vibrant red. There is also a series of holes cut around the base that also emit the red light from the inside. There is a hand made metal base original to the lamp, but is very stable without it, and looks more atomic in my opinion standing without it. There is also a small wooden disk that sits on the four welded metal tabs on the bottom of the base which was removed to show the standard light fixture and wiring within the lamp. The base measures 13 x 13 inches square and adds an additional 1 inch to the height should you prefer it.
