About the Item
Very rare and early version of the Sintesi floor lamp by the Italian manufacturer Artemide, designed by Ernesto Gismondi.
The special feature of this Sintesi lies in the base, which is designed here as a flexible tripod. The later versions of the Sintesi Terra came with a normal disc base. Otherwise, the lamp shows the characteristic elements of the Sintesi series, the black struts, the frame with joint, the aluminum reflector. The tripod gives the lamp a particularly delicate appearance. At the same time it offers a high level of flexibility. The height of the lamp head can be adjusted and fixed using a lever. The lamp can even be completely folded up into a handy size and transported easily. The metal feet designed as rollers at the end of the tripod are striking. A green version of this Sintesi lamp with a tripod was also in Dieter Rams' office at the HfBK in Hamburg. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear. Have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, European Plug (up to 250V).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
