Walnut Floor Lamp with Sculpted Details
About the Item
The appeal of this lamp lies in the beautifully sculpted details of its solid walnut base. The neck is cylindrical brass which meets the walnut which has a tapered column with lovely subtle curves where it meets the neck and base. Three recessed ball feet create a reveal below the base.
The period shade (which appears to be original) is in very good original condition.

An iconic mid-century design, the Triennale floor lamp is not only beautiful, but a highly functional design. With three articulating arms each topped with an articulating shade the lamp can offer both direct or indirect light in nearly any direction. An uncommon chrome steel cruciform base supports the central column which has a three-way switch, both the central column and the handles of the counterweights are wrapped in leather. We have one of these lamps in our personal collection and it is a joy to live with.
