About the Item

This pair of very large bronze doré sconces were created in France in the 19th century, circa 1840. This pair features a top acorn finial that sits on a Doric column with a floral motif. The bottom has foliage and a smaller acorn finial. Each sconce has two arms and were originally gas but have been rewired with new porcelain sockets.
