About the Item
Antonio Pavia Elephant Palm Large Wall lights, Italy, 1960
Dimensions are 21.65“ x 10.23“ x 19.5“
Formidable pair of large wall lights in nickeled brass and fan-shaped shades from creme white fabric. The miniature motif of an elephant’s head plays an outspoken lead-character in the design without being insensitive about the predicament that naturally comes with the terrain. It’s almost a bit ironic in this context and very well executed and rich in detail, made from nickeled brass, the head is a brass cast and rather heavy. The fan and elephant are mounted onto an L-shaped brass socket. It’s all handmade and in very good shape without any damages. We left the original patina intact. Gently cleaned everything. Each light takes one large bulb (e26/27 with 60 watts max) Leds are recommended due to lesser heat emission.
