Brass & Cream Fabric Wall Light, Sweden 1940s
About the Item
This Scandinavian Art Deco wall light was designed and manufactured in Sweden in the 1940s.
The light has a classic, elegant design that combines brass and fabric. It features two light arms, each holding a pleated fabric lampshade. The brass is polished, giving it a warm, golden finish typical of mid-century Scandinavian design.
The round brass wall mount provides stability and complements the light arms' curves. The pleated off-white fabric shades add a soft, diffused lighting effect, which would give a cozy ambiance to a room. This sconce embodies the minimalist elegance and quality craftsmanship associated with Swedish lighting from the 1940s.
The light requires two E14 bulbs and has been rewired. All lighting is converted for US usage.
Condition is good with a nice age related patina to the brass. One tiny ding on one of the lamp arms.
